Van flips onto roof in dramatic footage amid stormy conditions in Scotland

Dramatic footage has shown the aftermath of a crash after a van flipped onto it's roof on a Scots road.

Emergency services raced to the incident on the A835 at around 4:30pm on Wednesday, February 16.

The smash, which happened near to Loch Glascarnoch, involved just one vehicle.

A video captured the scene on the blustery road as Storm Dudley hit the country.

The van appears to have come off the road before flipping onto its roof in the terrifying collision.

A driver, who had been passing the scene, described the treacherous conditions on the road.

They said: "The road was black at that stretch but there were very heavy snow showers.

"It was very white and slippery from Tore Roundabout all the way up to Ullapool."

The driver had a lucky escape with police confirming that no injuries were reported.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Wednesday, 16 February, police were called to the A835 near Aultguish, following a report of a one-vehicle road crash.

"There were no injuries reported and recovery was arranged.”
