Value Scope: Each-way racing tips from Steve Jones for Saturday's meetings on ITV

Go with the Fro in the Coral Trophy.

FRODON (3.00) is one of the most popular horses currently in training and he should reward his fans with another top display at Kempton.

It might be more than two years since he won the King George at this track but he showed he can still mix it with the best when third in this season’s Boxing Day thriller.

His earlier success in the Badger Beer Chase at Wincanton was another example of what he is still capable of when he gets decent ground on a flat, right-handed track.

He’s well used to carrying big weights, so he must have a great chance at his favourite course. Have 1pt each-way at 9-1. Sky Bet are paying out on five places.

LOCK’S CORNER (4.10) has found a new lease of life since returning to hurdles.

He lost his way over fences but a switch to the smaller obstacles has worked wonders.

His neck second behind Blenkinsop at Ludlow in November was red-hot form and he went on to win his next two starts.

There was nothing wrong with his most recent run behind Itchy Feet at Huntingdon as the 3m1f distance just stretched his stamina. He’ll be much happier back at 2m5f. Have 2pts win at 12-1.

Quick Draw is likely to go off a hot favourite later on the card but I prefer his full-brother GUY (4.45).

There’s no doubt Nigel Twiston-Davies’ hope has been pretty frustrating down the years but he has plenty of good form to his name.

He loves good ground, right-handed tracks and a well-run 2m5f. That’s what he should get today and, given his consistency, he should give us a cracking run for our money. Have 1pt each-way at 10-1.

Newcastle’s Vertem Eider Chase is one of the longest races of the year and IN REM (3.25) will love the demands of this contest.

He was prolific in staying hurdles last season and he got off the mark over fences at Exeter on New Year’s Day.

That was on heavy ground but I’m sure now he steps up to a marathon distance he’ll be much happier with the drier conditions.

He plugged on to finish third at Chepstow three weeks ago when his jumping was solid and he ran like he was desperate for this much longer trip. Have 2pts each-way at 16-1. Several bookies are paying out on five places.
