For a game that spent more than five years in Early Access, "Valheim" has certainly had plenty of time to prove whether its Viking survival formula could stand the test of time. What began as a relatively small survival game from Iron Gate AB grew into one of the genre's most recognizable titles, attracting a huge community long before it was technically considered finished.
That long wait finally came to an end on September 9, 2026, when "Valheim" officially reached version 1.0. The full release marks a significant milestone for a game that has spent years evolving alongside its players, with Iron Gate finally completing the journey it began when "Valheim" entered Early Access in 2021.
