Valencia set Yunus Musah asking price amid Liverpool 'interest' as World Cup star seeks 'new challenge'

Liverpool have appeared to be handed a potential boost regarding an apparent transfer target, with reports suggesting an asking price has been set for Yunus Musah.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, the Reds are continuing to be linked with a host of potential new signings. Midfield in particular is the area of the pitch where the majority of rumours are focusing on ahead of the New Year.

One player who has been linked with a move to Liverpool is Yunus Musah. The Valencia midfielder has caught the eye during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with his performances for the United States of America.

Reports last week from 90min claimed that Liverpool had made contact with Musah’s representatives with a view to a potential transfer. Arsenal and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the player, who left the Gunners’ academy in 2019.

Now a fresh report from The Athletic has claimed that Valencia have set their asking price for Musah. It has been reported that the Spanish club would be open to offers starting from €20million (£17m).

It has also been claimed that Musah himself could be interested in a move to the Premier League. The report adds that the player is ‘keen on experiencing a new challenge’ after spending the last three-and-a-half years in La Liga.
