Vakoun Bayo has returned to UK football at English Championship side Watford, a year after his permanent exit from Celtic.
The striker is onto his fifth club since 2021 after a number of loan and permanent transfers following a 2020/21 loan move to French club Toulouse. Upon his return to Parkhead, he joined Belgian club Gent, who loaned him to fellow first division club Charleroi in the winter window, with an option to buy that was taken up after a hot streak of form.
Bayo netted an impressive 11 goals in 16 games and it's prompted Watford to snap him up on a five-year deal as they look for an immediate return to the Premier League. The 25-year-old scored twice in 17 Celtic games following a move to Scotland's Premiership from Dunajská Streda in 2019.
