Vadodara's SSG Hospital gets license for stem cell harvesting

STEM Vadodara AIIMS New Delhi

VADODARA: State-run SSG Hospital in Vadodara has become the only purely government medical college in the country other than AIIMS, New Delhi, to get a license for stem cell harvesting.

The blood centre of SSG Hospital, the biggest facility in central Gujarat, has got permission from Central Licensing Approval Authority (CLAA) for stem cell harvesting, paving way for cheaper bone marrow transplants in the future.
