Following a court order, not all officer video footage from the tragic Uvalde, Texas, school shooting in 2022 was initially provided to news organizations. The Uvalde Police Department announced an internal investigation into the matter after discovering additional videos that were not included in the original release of material.
The incident at Robb Elementary School, where a gunman claimed the lives of 19 children and two teachers, prompted city officials to release a significant collection of audio and video recordings over the weekend. The newly discovered unreleased video content is now under review by the office of Uvalde District Attorney for further examination.
