The “explosive” opening episode of the second season of the hit crime drama Kin aired on Sunday night after a long wait and viewers were loving it.
Kin’s much-anticipated season two opener dropped on RTÉ last night, two days after stars of the show joined Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show, well over a year after the season one finale aired and while fans took to Twitter to discuss how the episode was “worth the wait” - other’s had some issues figuring out just what the characters were saying.

Fans were loving the first episode, which starts off with the Kinsella family thriving in the wake of Eamon Cunningham's death.
However, the plot is set in motion when members of a Turkish cartel inform the Kinsellas that Eamon owed them a sizable debt.
Fans were loving the episode, with many taking to social media to share their thoughts.
Pointing to the thick accents that a lot of the characters have, one user on Twitter posted: “Kin Drinking Game. Take a shot every time a character says "Yeah" or "Ye". The writers have a wonderful economy with words”.
Another person also posting about the accents in KIn said: “Is it €19m or €90m.” One more added: "Subtitles are telling me it's 70 million and 90 million they chatting about."
While another Twitter user who loved the show posted: “That was sooooo good! Worth the wait!”
One more added: “It was a great first episode though. And I love the old-school having to wait a whole week for the next one vibe. Dyin for it though…”
Another Twitter user joked: “Another four poor actors out of work after Season 2 Episode 1 of Kin.”
One Twitter user posted: “Kin is utterly terrific. A gripping gangster tale, it's The Sopranos meets Love/Hate with Peaky Blinder's vibes.
“Will Amanda retain control of the family, or will inside threats prove deadlier than a new shared enemy? Can't wait for more Kin.”
The Twitter user clearly couldn’t get enough of the show as they later added in another tweet: “Gangland crime shouldn't look this sexy. One of the very best things RTE has bought to the screen in recent years. Season two begins…”
