There were 30 people on board the bus, which was on its way to the Yamunotri shrine, when it fell into a 800-feet deep gorge. While 26 people died on the spot, four others, including three MP-based pilgrims and the bus driver, Hira Singh, who hails from Almora, sustained injuries. The injured are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Dehradun.
