AGRA: Aligarh Muslim University has suspended assistant professor, department of forensic, Dr Jitendra Kumar after evidence of misconduct was found against him during a preliminary inquiry in connection with the content of a slide on the “mythical reference of rape” while teaching medical students of his department in the varsity.
An FIR has been registered against Dr Kumar under IPC sections 153 A (Promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.), 295 A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), 298 (Uttering words, etc., with deliberate intent to wound religious feelings) and 505 (statements conducting public mischief), said Shwetabh Pandey, circle officer, Civil Lines.
