Uttar Pradesh: Govt orders suspension of Lalganj SDM accused of murder

PRAYAGRAJ: Taking a serious note of the death of tehsil employee Sunil Kumar Sharma in Pratapgarh district, the state government on Monday ordered suspension of former Lalganj SDM Gyanendra Vikram Singh.

Gyanendra Vikram and three others were accused of thrashing Sunil Kumar, 58, brutally at his house in Lalganj on March 30. The employee later died on April 2.

Gyanendra Vikram and three others were booked under sections 302, 308, 323, 452 and 504 of IPC by the Lalganj police following the death of the tehsil employee. The accused were untraceable.
