Uttar Pradesh: Court rejects BJP leader Harshit Srivastava’s bail plea

KANPUR: Civil judge, junior division on Wednesday rejected the bail application of BJP leader Harshit Srivastava alias Lala and sent him to jail in 14 days judicial custody.

Harshit was arrested by the Colonelganj police on Tuesday last for allegedly posting provocative and inflammatory posts against a religion on internet media.

Police had presented Harshit before the court where he preferred his bail application. The court rejected his bail application and sent him to jail under judicial custody.

Harshit is district secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha and has also been president of the students union of DAV College.
