MEERUT: From scribbling math formulas on nails to using henna art designs on hands to hide answers, students at Meerut University in Uttar Pradesh have resorted to “unique ways of cheating” in exam halls, to the sheer astonishment of invigilators. So far, over 300 students have been debarred from writing exams for using “unfair tactics”.
“There were many shocking cases. In one such case, an invigilator found a student looking at her nails every few seconds. At first, it seemed to be just nail polish. On closer look, the invigilator noticed eight lines of math formula were scribbled on her nails. It actually looked like some creative nail art,” said professor Shivraj Singh Pundhir.
