The Utah Utes are honoring two of their fallen teammates in an extremely cool way on Saturday when the team suits up against USC.
Aaron Lowe and Ty Jordan both lost their lives to gun violence over the last couple of years. Jordan was killed in an accidental shooting on Christmas Day of 2020. Lowe tragically died a year later in a shooting in September of 2021.
The two of them were close friends. After Jordan’s death, Lowe changed his number from 2 to 22 to honor his friend in one of the most awesome gestures we’ve seen in sports over the last few years.
Now, the entire team will honor them both with new custom, hand-painted helmets they’ll debut on Saturday against USC.
