Thousands of sailors and Marines from the USS Abraham Lincoln have reached Thailand for shore leave after accumulating 286 days at sea during the deployment amid reports of food shortages, broken plumbing and deteriorating living conditions.

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier arrived at Laem Chabang port on Wednesday, 2 September. Buses then transported crew members to nearby Pattaya for the ship's first full port visit since its deployment began in November 2025.
