Kamaru Usman and Dustin Poirier, two esteemed fighters in the UFC, recently discussed their potential opponents for their upcoming fights on the Anik-Florian podcast. Poirier expressed confidence that his next opponent would come from a list of names mentioned during the podcast, ruling out a potential fight with Covington due to reliability concerns.
Poirier has previously fought many of the listed opponents, making matchups with Volkanovski, Covington, or Diaz more intriguing. A fight with Diaz could be particularly enticing, especially if it were to serve as a retirement bout, given their history.
