Americans trying to understand USDA programs now have a new place to search for official federal guidance without tracking documents across numerous agency websites.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture launched a new USDA Guidance Portal, an interactive database designed to consolidate guidance documents issued by the department and its agencies. USDA announced the portal April 7, 2026, after staff spent months reviewing and organizing agency materials. For consumers, farmers, businesses, grant recipients and organizations that work with USDA programs, the database could make it easier to locate current guidance on everything from SNAP and WIC to farm loans, food safety and disaster assistance.
