USC WR Jordan Addison will have top-30 visit with Giants

The New York Giants continue to do their due diligence on players as the 2023 NFL draft approaches. They are said to still be in the market for a top wide receiver and have met with several of the top prospects this offseason.

Add one more name to the list — USC’s Jordan Addison.

Aaron Wilson reports that Addison will visit the Giants, Minnesota Vikings, Baltimore Ravens, and New England Patriots as well as a local visit with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Giants already met with Addison at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this year and have been courting many of the other top recruits such as Ohio State’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Jalin Hyatt of Tennessee, Boston College’s Zay Flowers, and Quentin Johnston of TCU among others.

Addison measured at 5-foot-11 and 173 pounds at the combine last month and ran the 40 yard-dash in 4.49 seconds. He is a prototypical size of an NFL slot receiver but has been telling scouts and teams that he can be used as an outside threat. That is where the Giants need the most help after packing their roster with slot options this offseason.

“My film shows I can play inside and out,” Addison said at the combine. “I can do it all. I make big plays when the pressure is on. When I’m running my routes, I try to get open and make it easier on the quarterback.”

Addison is projected to be a first-round selection in this month’s draft. The Giants hold the 25th overall pick in the first round. One or more of the players listed above could be on the board when they are on the clock.

We’ll see if they go with a wide receiver or decide to fill another need such as a cornerback or interior offensive line.
