USC is expected to hire Washington athletic director Jennifer Cohen to the same position, ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported. Cohen replaces Mike Bohn, who resigned from the role in May following 3 1/2 years with the Trojans.
Cohen, who was at Washington for over two decades, has served as the Huskies’ athletic director since 2016 and has been a member of the College Football Playoff selection committee since last year. She is one of only a handful of women athletic directors in the country and will become USC’s first female athletic director.
Under Cohen’s tenure as AD, Washington football has enjoyed four double-digit win seasons and a 68-25 overall record.
In the spring, Bohn abruptly resigned as athletic director of USC. He’d initially taken over from predecessor Lynn Swann in 2019. Denise Kwok has served as the interim athletic director since Bohn’s resignation.
Both USC and Washington are about to enter their final season in the Pac-12, as they both will leave for the Big Ten next year.
