The Halloween edition of the USA TODAY High School Sports Super 25 comes on the tail of a thrilling weekend, mainly down in Texas, where DeSoto handled Duncanville and Byron Nelson shocked Southlake Carroll.
Both outcomes shifted the rankings while opening the door for a familiar team at No. 25.
The methodology: the HSS staff creates the Super 25 rankings while considering various data points, including strength of schedule, prospects, the more traditional stats—did the team win or lose?—as well as overall point differentials.
