The USA’s 2023 FIBA World Cup men’s basketball roster was announced on Thursday and the young squad is already the odds-on favorite to take home the gold.
The roster will consist of: Paolo Banchero, (Magic); Mikal Bridges, (Nets); Jalen Brunson (Knicks); Anthony Edwards, (Timberwolves); Tyrese Haliburton, (Pacers); Josh Hart, (Knicks); Brandon Ingram, (Pelicans); Jaren Jackson Jr., (Grizzlies); Cam Johnson, (Nets); Walker Kessler, (Jazz); Bobby Portis, (Bucks); Austin Reaves, (Lakers).
“On behalf of USA Basketball, I’m thrilled to introduce the 2023 USA Men’s National Team, which features some of basketball’s brightest talent,” USA Basketball Men’s National Team managing director Grant Hill said via an official US men's basketball press release. “We are excited for the challenges ahead and look forward to the opportunity to compete at the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup. I am confident that working together, and under the leadership of our outstanding coaching staff, this team will proudly represent the United States this summer in Manila.”
Warriors coach Steve Kerr will serve as head coach of the 2023 U.S. Men’s National Team. Joining Kerr’s staff will be Gonzaga’s Mark Few, Tyronn Lue (Clippers) and Erik Spoelstra (Heat).
“My staff and I are thrilled to have the opportunity to coach such talented, team-oriented players,” Kerr said. “I’m confident this group will represent our country well, with effort, talent and a commitment to winning together. We look forward to competing for a gold medal in the World Cup later this summer.”

In Group Play, Team USA’s schedule is as follows:
Aug. 26: U.S. vs. New Zealand in Philippines
Aug. 28: U.S. vs. Greece in Philippines
The 2023 FIBA World Cup will take place in the Philippines, Okinawa and Indonesia from Aug. 25 to Sept. 10.
