The United States is expected to withdraw 50% tariffs on some Canadian products, aiming to help Maine SenatorSusan Collins and other Republicans in the upcoming midterm elections, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the upcoming action.
The announcement for the same could come as early as Friday and will likely exempt tariffs on certain agricultural and forestry products, the report said.
