The United Arab Emirates emphasized on Monday the necessity to pursue the efforts to promote stability in Afghanistan in cooperation with the regional partners and international community.
Minister of State in the UAE Ahmed Al-Sayegh said the move is necessary to serve the interests of the Afghani people and improve their living conditions.
His remarks came during a meeting with Thomas West, US Special Representative for Afghanistan, and his accompanying delegation, held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi.
The two officials emphasized the significance of ensuring education for girls as part of the relief efforts.
Al-Sayegh highlighted the UAE’s endeavors to contribute to improving the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan, especially initiatives in the health and food sectors.
The US envoy praised the UAE’s contributions to support the Afghan people, stressing the need to intensify the international community's efforts to achieve a better future for Afghanistan and alleviate the suffering of its people, WAM News Agency said.
