Donald Trump has vowed to “retaliate” after two US soldiers and a US civilian interpreter were killed in Syria in an ambush by a suspected lone IS gunman.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump vowed "very serious retaliation," mourning the loss of "three great patriots".
