US Senator Graham Criticizes ICC For Issuing Arrest Warrants

US Senator Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, strongly condemned the International Criminal Court (ICC) for issuing arrest warrants against senior Israeli officials. Graham announced his intention to introduce legislation in Congress to sanction any country that attempts to enforce these warrants against Israel.

During a news conference in Jerusalem, Graham expressed his outrage, labeling the arrest warrants as 'beyond outrageous.' He warned that any country supporting the warrants would face bipartisan resistance from the United States, including close allies such as Canada, Britain, and France.

Graham emphasized that the ICC's actions are detrimental to Israel's ability to defend itself and serve to isolate the Jewish state. He argued that the international court lacks jurisdiction over both Israel and the United States.

He plans to introduce legislation in Congress to sanction countries enforcing the warrants.

Last week, the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, and a senior Hamas official, accusing them of war crimes related to the October 7, 2023, attacks on Israel.

Graham revealed that he had discussions with the Israeli government and President-elect Donald Trump to explore options for a ceasefire in Gaza and a potential hostage release agreement. He proposed that the key to resolving the conflict lies in transforming Palestinian society to be de-radicalized and demilitarized.
