US Open 2026: Wyndham Clark Holds Big Lead With McIlroy And Scheffler In Touch

Cut day at Shinnecock Hills secured some high-profile victims including Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Viktor Hovland, and last year's champion JJ Spaun, but Wyndham Clark remains the story of the day.

A second round of 69 was enough to help Clark build a four-stroke lead at the top, but the likes of Sam Stevens, Tom Kim, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Xander Schauffele are breathing down his neck heading into the weekend.

Collin Morikawa shot the lowest score of the day with a 65 and he's on his own in sixth at -2 for the week.

Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler only needs the US Open title to complete his Career Grand Slam, and he's still in touch with the leading pack. The world No.1 is T11 at even par, and as we know, you can never truly write him off with two days to go.

Likewise, Rory McIlroy remains in the hunt, though he will be largely disappointed with the way his second round collapsed with a double bogey on 15 sending him down the leaderboard.

Big names to miss the cut at the US Open this year also include Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Shane Lowry, and Cameron Smith. It was also the end of the line for the likes of Patrick Reed, Adam Scott, Rickie Fowler, and Min Woo Lee.

However, there was joy for a handful of amateurs who did make the cut, including hot prospects Jackson Koivun and Miles Russell who are both T46 at three-over for the week. Ryder Cowan is the lowest-scoring amateur as things stand, with an even par total for the week.

US Open quick links

HELLO AND WELCOME

What an afternoon we have ahead at Shinnecock Hills.

Winds are not forecast to be significantly stronger for the later starters so we should see a continuation of the fair scoring? We'll see.

We have some big names to watch including Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler. Can anyone chase down Wyndham Clark? I think it's highly unlikely but we shall see.

POOR DUSTIN JOHNSON

You may be wondering where Dustin Johnson is after his brilliant 66 (-4) start. Unfortunately he dropped eight strokes in five holes, including a quadruple bogey 8, to card a 77.

He is at +3 so will make it through to the weekend, if that is any consolation.

BRYSON UPDATE

LIV star Bryson DeChambeau *should* make the weekend at five-over-par but it was a very disappointing day for him.

DeChambeau made five bogeys and a double to card a 75. He's currently just inside the cut mark as he hopes to avoid a third successive Major missed cut.

AN EPIC FINISH FOR WYNDHAM CLARK

Over 200ft of putts holed over the first two days for Wyndham Clark as he posts the lowest ever 36-hole total in a Shinnecock US Open.

Here is his birdie at the last:

MORIKAWA WITH THE BEST ROUND OF THE DAY

A 65 for the two-time Major winner today, who is at two-under for 36-holes.

JON RAHM IS SLIDING

Rahm has just gone bogey-bogey-bogey-bogey-double to drop six shots in five holes.

He is now outside of the cut line at six-over-par. Ouch.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN

Incase you missed it, Joaquin Niemann has become the first player to fall foul of the Majors' code of conduct, with the Chilean receiving a two-stroke penalty.

He shot five-under-par today to make the cut after a 78 in round one, which included his penalty strokes.

CAN ANYONE CATCH WYNDHAM CLARK?

A remarkable start from the 2023 champ.

VIKTOR HOVLAND UPDATE

Hovland, who has caught plenty of attention for his pants on Friday, shot an impressive 69 to finish at five-over-par and likely make the cut. Well played Viktor.

RORY MCILROY UP SHORTLY

McIlroy goes off at 2.02pm local time, so in just over 10 minutes' time.

UNDER-PAR WATCH

There are currently just 11 players in the red at the US Open as things stand.

Looking at Wyndham Clark's score, it's easy to think the setup is too easy but it surely can't be.

Jon Rahm is eight-over today, for example.

Just phenomenal golf from Clark, who has taken advantage of the better half of the draw very well.

LOWRY GOING HOME EARLY

It looks like Shane Lowry will be missing the cut.

The Irishman, who I quite fancied to do well in the wind this week, shot 73-73 to finish at six-over-par and miss his second successive US Open cut.

HEAR FROM LEADER WYNDHAM CLARK:

RYDER COWAN LEADING THE AMS

Oklahoma's Ryder Cowan had a glittering junior career and he's having a great amateur career, too.

He's leading the ams as things stand at level-par for 36-holes in his first Major start, but he's got Miles Russell and World No.1 Jackson Koivun chasing close behind.

It's set to be an intriguing race for the silver medal.

BIG NAMES FINISH UP

Jordan Spieth fires a level-par 70 and finishes three-over. The former US Open winner will make the weekend, unlike Jon Rahm, who has collapsed over the back nine!

He was bogey-free through 21 holes, but an eight-over 78, including a six-over back nine, means he comfortably misses the cut, as does Patrick Cantlay, who finishes on the same six-over score.

RORY GETS UNDERWAY

He's one-under for the championship, and Rory McIlroy finds the fairway with his tee shot at the first.

McIlroy is alongside Ludvig Aberg (-1) and Tommy Fleetwood (E), who also find the fairway with their tee shots, as the marquee afternoon group gets underway on Friday.

BIRDIE STARTS

Tyrrell Hatton and Keegan Bradley birdie their opening holes, with Hatton moving to three-over-par, while Bradley gets to one-under.

CLARK REACTS

ROUND OF THE DAY?

The morning wave have taken advantage on Friday, with some low scores posted by some notable names.

Aaron Rai carded a three-under 67, while Xander Schauffele produced a four-under 66.

Round of the day, though, belongs to Collin Morikawa and Joaquin Niemaan, who both carded a five-under 65. For Niemann, he will make the cut, while Morikawa jumps to two-under.

APPROACH AT THE FIRST

McIlroy goes long of the green at the first, which he can't quite believe. It was a good swing, but he'll have a tough chip coming back.

Aberg, meanwhile, finds the green, while Fleetwood puts it to seven-foot and will have a good look for birdie at the opener.

WATCHING THE CUT

STRONG START FOR HIGGS

He's a fan favorite, and Harry Higgs has birdied the third and fifth to go from one-over to one-under. Good start from the American!

BIG SAVES AND MISSED CHANCES

Both Aberg and Fleetwood miss their birdie attempts, with both grazing the hole from mid-range at the first.

McIlroy, meanwhile, plays a decent chip and rolls in a big nine footer to remain one-under. Nice save from the six-time Major winner.

STEVENS DROPS A SHOT

He birdied the opening hole, but bogeys at the par 4 second and fourth means Stevens goes from one-under for his round to one-over.

The American drops from two-under to one-under for the championship.

GOOD SAVE FOR RORY

RECORDS FALLING FOR CLARK

HOW GOOD IS MILES RUSSELL?!

He qualified with Charlie Woods on the bag at Final Qualifying and, at the US Open, 17-year-old Miles Russell is putting on a show!

Firing a two-over 72 on Thursday, Russell pars the 10th and 11th (his first and second of the day) before birdieing the 12th to move to one-under for the round.

SCOTTIE ON THE TEE

The World No.1 is on the tee and gets underway from the 10th.

He fired a two-over 72 yesterday, and begins his round well today, as a fairway wood cuts down the middle of the fairway.

He's paired alongside 2025 US Amateur winner Mason Howell, who finds the fairway, as well as US Open defending champion JJ Spaun, who also finds the short grass

ANOTHER BIRDIE FOR HIGGS

This is some start from Higgs, who was an alternate at the start of the week!

Making birdies at the third and fifth, the American puts his approach at the sixth to 10-feet, rolling in the birdie attempt to get to three-under for the round and two-under for the championship.

He moves along Morikawa, who earlier fired a joint round of the day 65.

SOLID START FROM SCOTTIE

Following an excellent tee shot, Scheffler puts his wedge to 10-foot and leaves a good look at birdie.

Howell finds the green, but Spaun chunks his wedge and it comes up well short, leaving a tough up-and-down for the defending champion.

DROPPED SHOT FOR FLEETWOOD

McIlroy and Aberg par the par 3 second, while Fleetwood is unable to get up-and-down, as he moves back to two-over-par.

A GOOD FIVE FOR SPAUN

Not sure there is such a thing as a good bogey, but that's what Spaun has done at the opening hole, with the defending champion making a save from the back of the green.

He needed a fast start, given he was seven-over, but a bogey isn't ideal for the defending champion.

SCOTTIE OPENS WITH A BIRDIE

After watching Spaun bogey his opener, Scheffler steps up and rams his putt home for birdie to move to one-over.

It's a perfect start for the World No.1, who is searching for the Career Grand Slam this week.

GREYSERMAN BIRDIES THE FIRST

Like Scheffler, Greyserman birdies his opening hole (first) and joins Morikawa and Higgs at two-under-par.

SCOTTIE AND RORY FIRING

Both Scheffler and McIlroy are playing separate nines, and they have made good starts on Friday.

Scheffler birdied the first (10th) and has played a great approach in at the par 4 11th. He'll have 12-foot for birdie.

McIlroy, meanwhile, pounds his tee shot down the fairway at the third and puts his second to 25-foot. He'll also have a chance for birdie.

NARROW MISS

How did that stay out?

Scheffler's birdie attempt at the 11th looks in all the way, but dives off at the last second. It's a par for the World No.1, who remains one-over for the championship.

STRONG STARTS APLENTY

Higgs continues to go well on Friday, sitting three-under through eight holes.

A player copying the American is Caleb Surratt, who is also three-under through eight holes, with the US Open debutant playing the back nine. He is two-over for the championship.

Elsewhere, Bradley is still one-under for his round, while Sam Burns is one-under through three and level for the event.

GOTTERUP LAUNCHES ONE

Just a casual 411-yard tee shot for Chris Gotterup on the 14th hole... talk about power!

THIS KID IS GOING PLACES

Miles Russell is making waves at the US Open and he's just recorded his second birdie of day two to move to T14. Now that's got to feel good...

HOT ON THEIR THEELS

Sahith Theegala is having a blast on day two, registering another birdie on 12 (his third hole of the round) to jump to even par and into T14.

KEEGAN CHARGING?

Outside of those tied for 4th right now, it's Keegan Bradley at one-under through five who looks like he's got the best chance of creeping into the top spots today.

BIRDIES GALORE!

First, Max Greyserman sinks a birdie to jump to T2. Then, Rory McIlroy get his first of the day to get to two-under. But the best of the lot is a wonderful long putt from Harry Higgs to join Greyserman in a tie for second.

GREYSERMAN UP TO T2

Two birdies for the day has Max Greyserman at three-under and in a share of second place.

NEVER WRITE RORY OFF

Rory McIlroy plays hole 5 perfectly after a huge drive, and he finishes it off with a calm putt to get to -2 for the week.

TEXAS WEDGE FOR THE WIN

Harry Higgs pulls out the putter despite being well off the green, but the move pays off as he sinks the monster putt to jump to T2 and -3 for the week...

ADAM SCOTT SLIDING

The great Aussie, who is playing in his 100th consecutive Major this week, has dropped to seven-over-par and comfortably outside of the cutline.

He has only played six holes, though, so has plenty of time.

SCHEFFLER BIRDIE

The World No.1 pours in a long right-to-left birdie putt at the 15th (his 6th) to get back to one-under-par for the day. He is +1 for the tournament now and has the par 5 16th up next.

BROOKS KOEPKA BIRDIE

The two-time US Open champion has just rolled in a birdie 2 at the 17th to get back to three-over.

JOAQUIN NIEMANN ON TWO-STROKE PENALTY:

"Yeah, I mean, I hit it two times out of bounds on the right, two bad swings. Then, yeah, got pretty frustrated. I'm not someone that like to be in that behavior. I'm the first one to judge myself when I don't behave on the golf course.

"Yeah, that was a misbehave from my part. I felt like a little bit extra penalized with two-shot penalty, but I think it is what it is. I think I'm going to learn from it. It definitely kind of helped me a little bit to have a better round today."

WYNDHAM CLARK ON OAKMONT LOCKER ROOM INCIDENT:

"I've gotten a lot of grief since last year, rightfully so," The US Open leader said.

"The thing that's unfortunate is that's not who I am, what happened last year.

"I'm hoping I can win back the fans that I had or some new fans because it was a terrible incident. You know, I really feel like I can show people that I'm fun and outgoing, I'm fierce, competitive, love the game, respect the game, and I just had a bad moment.

"Hopefully I can win those people back.

"Yeah, I definitely feel like I'm in a better place. Hopefully a great weekend and great rest of the year, maybe I'll gain all those fans back."

MCILROY WITH A GOOD PAR AT 7

Rory McIlroy (-1) has just rolled in a very slick five-footer down the hill on the 7th to save yet another par.

Six pars and one birdie in seven holes is a mightily impressive return from what has not been his best start. I can easily see him getting on a run and perhaps moving to three-or-four-under.

Hopefully I haven't just cursed him there.

15 MEN UNDER-PAR NOW

Scoring seems to be fairly similar to this morning, with winds not posing too much of a problem.

We currently have 15 players in the red, with 14 at one-under to three-under. What golf course has Wyndham Clark been playing this week?

BIG BIRDIE FOR SCOTT

The Australian rolls in a long one at the par 5 16th to get back to six-over-par as he edges slightly closer to the cutline.

FITZPATRICK

In the race for the low Fitzpatrick, younger brother Alex has just made a long birdie putt at the par 5 5th to move within three of Matt.

Could you imagine those two playing together late on Sunday?

BURNS ON THE MOVE

Sam Burns, who held the 54-hole lead at Oakmont last year, is up to two-under-par after his third birdie of the day at the 8th.

MCILROY BIRDIE!

The World No.2 nails a birdie putt at the 8th and somehow he is two-under-par for the day, and now three-under for the tournament.

Superb. He has not had his best stuff but, like Augusta, the putter has been exceptional.

SAM STEVENS TO -3

The World No.54 is not going away. The three-time PGA Tour runner-up has just gone birdie-birdie at 11 and 12 to join what is now a logjam at three-under-par.

COULD THE CUTLINE MOVE?

David Howell on the Sky Sports Golf feed says the cut is starting to look closer to three-over. As things stand, there are 64 players at +3 or better, with the top 60-and-ties making it through.

SCHEFFLER UPDATE

The World No.1 has just 'only' parred the par 5 16th and misses the par 3 17th green in the right-hand bunker.

Scheffler is clearly battling his game...but he is still just one-over-par in T25th.

Does he come back to win this US Open? I really can't see it, but I have no doubt he could well be challenging the top-10 come Sunday.

STAR TRIO ALL IN TIGHT AT 9

McIlroy (-3), Fleetwood (E) and Aberg (-1) have all just hit it to within 10ft at the 9th, named Ben Nevis.

McIlroy could climb into solo-2nd if he can hole.

FLEETWOOD TO -1

The Englishman holes for birdie on the 9th to move into red figures.

MCILROY MISSES AT 9

From just 6ft, McIlroy's left-to-righter just carries too much pace and rolls a few feet by. That's a par and a front nine of two-under.

GREAT STAT FROM JUSTIN RAY

Have the USGA set the course up too easy? That will be some fans' arguments. With the forecasted winds, we thought Shinnecock was going to be a brute - but it isn't quite proving to be just yet.

I'm sure things will get much harder this weekend.

SHOCKERS FROM FLEETWOOD MAC

The European pair drove it miles down the 10th and they have both gone miles through the back of the green from 100 yards.

Fleetwood's well-struck wedge took a big bounce through while McIlroy knifed his approach.

BURNS TO -3

Sam Burns birdies the par 3 11th and he is four-under for the day and bogey-free.

Another to T2nd.

BOGEYS FOR TEAM EUROPE

McIlroy and Fleetwood clean up on the 10th, with bogeys dropping the former to two-under and the latter to even-par.

MISTAKES CONTINUE

Playing the par 3 11th, Fleetwood pushes his tee shot right and it ends up on the bunker bank and buried. I don't know if he's better off in the bunker or not!

In terms of McIlroy, he goes at the flag and it's a few yards long. It runs down the bank and that will be a nasty chip coming back.

Mistakes continue!

BURNS ON A CHARGE

SCOTTIE MAKES THE TURN

Two birdies and a bogey means a one-under first nine for Scheffler, who played the back nine and moves to the front.

He is currently one-over-par for the championship and will want to find a few birdies coming in to move into contention.

OH MY...

Greyserman produces a moment of madness at the par 4 ninth!

Faced with 20-foot for birdie, he misses that attempt before ramming his three-footer for par seven-foot by.

What's more, his bogey attempt doesn't drop and that's a double bogey out of nowhere for the American, who goes from three-under to one-under.

BACK-TO-BACK FOR RORY

A poor tee shot is followed by a decent chip at the 11th, but McIlroy can't convert the par putt and that's back-to-back bogeys for the 2011 champion.

He drops to one-under, while Fleetwood gets up-and-down to stay level-par, while Aberg makes an 11th straight par to remain one-under.

HOW GOOD FROM TOMMY?

HIGGS DROPS A SHOT

The par 5 16th has been playing tough all week and, in terms of Higgs, he is unable to get up-and-down from the greenside bunker.

He is two-under for the round and one-under for the championship, remaining inside the top 10.

LOVELY GOLF

Playing the par 4 12th, Fleetwood produces a gorgeous wedge to five-foot, while Aberg follows him and sticks it to eight-foot.

McIlroy, though, is struggling, and fires another wedge long of the green and leaves himself a horrible chip coming back. He will need to get up-and-down to stop dropping another shot.

APPROACH PLAY NOT FIRING

Scheffler possesses the best approach play in the world, but he is struggling today as he drops it short on the first (his 10th).

He does par the hole, but he's a club out from the fairway, which is very un-Scheffler-like.

THREE IN A ROW FOR RORY

He was three-under 45 minutes ago, but McIlroy is now level-par after three bogeys on the bounce!

Going long with his second, he almost blades his chip, with the par putt lipping out. It's a bogey at the 12th for the six-time Major winner.

BURNS DROPS A SHOT

They're all at it now, with Burns missing his par attempt at the par 4 13th, with a three-putt dropping him to two-under.

TOMMY GOES UNDER-PAR

As players make bogeys, Fleetwood finds a birdie at the 12th following an excellent approach.

Moving to one-under, he has jumped Greyserman and Bradley, who both bogey and drop to level-par.

RORY STRUGGLES

POOR JAMES

He was two-under and sharing fourth, but Ben James makes a clumsy double bogey at the ninth and drops back to level-par.

UNREAL FROM RORY

He has made three bogeys in a row but, with a wedge in hand at the 13th, he plays a delightful approach that finishes inches from the hole. That will be a birdie for McIlroy, and he'll move back to one-under.

HARMAN AND KIM MOVE TO ONE-UNDER

Brian Harman and Tom Kim haven't had their best stuff in 2026, but both are playing nicely here in New York.

Harman has birdied the 11th, while Kim has birdied the 10th to move under-par and inside the top 10.

RORY BREAKS THE BOGEY STREAK

DROPPED SHOT FROM TOMMY AND ABERG

McIlroy taps in for birdie, while Fleetwood three putts for bogey to fall back to level-par.

He's not the only one, as Aberg's run of pars ends at the 13th, with the Swede three-putting from mid-range to also fall back to level-par.

NOTHING HAPPENING FOR SCHEFFLER

The World No.1 plays a great tee shot at the par 3 second, but his birdie attempt slides by the edge and finishes on the lip.

Cutting a frustrated figure, Scheffler remains one-over-par.

STRAKA FIGHTING

A birdie at the 13th moves Straka to four-over-par and narrowly inside the cutline.

He is one of many big players around the cut mark, which includes Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Smith.

NEVER IN DOUBT

EXCELLENT ROUND FROM HIGGS

A par at the last for Higgs gives him a two-under 68, with the American currently one-under for the championship.

Currently, he is T7th, and will be in contention going into the weekend at Shinnecock Hills.

CUT WATCH

We currently have a surprising amount of big names outside of the cut line at Shinnecock, with the cut looking like it will come in at +4.

That means DeChambeau, Hovland, Horschel, Reitan, Gotterup, Lowry, Rahm, Cantlay, Koepka, SW Kim, MW Lee, Scott and Spaun will be among the big names heading home.

MCILROY BIRDIE!

Rory McIlroy has just rolled in a monster putt at the 14th! He laughs to himself as he knows he just picked up quite an unlikely one there.

It's back-to-back birdies for the World No.2, who is now up to -2.

A STAT WYNDHAM CLARK WON'T LIKE TO HEAR

No 36-hole leader at the US Open has converted their lead into a victory in the last six years. The last 36-hole leader to win was Gary Woodland back in 2019 at Pebble Beach.

That should give the chasing pack hope over the weekend.

PATRICK REED NOW WELL OUTSIDE

Reed has just doubled the 4th to fall to six-over-par and it looks like Captain America is going to be yet another surprising name to miss the cut.

JAMES NICHOLAS MAKES THE CUT!

The Korn Ferry Tour player from New York gets a huge ovation on his final hole as he finishes at three-over-par to make the cut.

Nicholas hit the opening tee shot yesterday morning in the fog. What a week for the local man.

SHOUTOUT TO JOAQUIN NIEMANN

The LIV star received a two-stroke penalty and is going to make the cut despite carding an 11.

He breached the US Open's code of conduct and to be fair to him, spoke to media afterwards today.

According to stats guru Justin Ray "there are no examples of a player making an 11 or worse on a hole in any PGA Tour event (majors included) and still making the cut."

SHOCKER FROM RORY MCILROY

McIlroy has just pitched it from the back of the 15th green past the pin into the bunker. It certainly looked a little thin and went into the sand at some pace.

Big up-and-down required here.

The bunker shot goes long-right around 20ft. Looks like a double-bogey is on the way.

SAM STEVENS IN AT -3

Stevens finishes up with a 69 to go with his 68 yesterday. The World No.54 is three-under-par for 36-holes and in T2nd.

DOUBLE FOR MCILROY

Out of nowhere, the World No.2 has made a silly double bogey and drops back to level-par.

Tommy Fleetwood bogeys the 15th and falls to +1.

WELL PLAYED JAMES NICHOLAS

The New Yorker is in for the weekend.

DEVASTATING FOR MATTHEW JORDAN

The talented Englishman bogeys his final hole and looks truly gutted as he misses the cut by potentially one stroke.

REED EAGLE!!

Patrick Reed has just eagled the 5th after doubling the 4th and the 2018 Masters champion is now back inside the cutline. Gutsy!

DOWN TO 11 PLAYERS UNDER-PAR NOW

We had 15 players under-par a few hours ago but there are just 11 now. I think that quite clearly shows that the afternoon has been more difficult and these early-late players have got the tougher side of the draw.

The wind is definitely getting back up now, just as we see Ludvig Aberg snap-hook his second shot on the par 5 16th.

BROOKS KOEPKA FALLING WELL BEYOND THE CUT

The 2018 US Open champion at Shinnecock is enduring a torrid second round.

Koepka is five-over for his last seven holes and has now dropped to +8.

RARE SIGN OF ANGER FROM LUDVIG ABERG

The Swede hit a shocking second shot on the long, into-wind par 5 16th and he got unlucky to find a bad lie in a bunker. He could only splash it out into the fescue and he now needs to get up-and-down for bogey.

He is very disappointed with himself.

On the same hole, Rory McIlroy is also in the deep fescue just short-left of the green in two. His pitch flies through the back of the green...it was a very tough shot.

SCHEFFLER GOING ALONG VERY NICELY

The World No.1 has just found the par 5 5th in two and he's got an eagle to move to one-under for the tournament.

He has not had his best stuff this week, or season in fact, but he is grinding away quietly.

SUM UP SHINNECOCK HILLS IN ONE PHOTO...

MCILROY UPDATE

The six-time Major champion hit a sublime chip from long of the 16th green to get up-and-down for par.

He remains even for the tournament. He'll feel frustrated following that double on the 14th and also likely quite annoyed to have got the worst half of the draw.

Ludvig Aberg (+1) got it up-and-down for bogey after his troubles, while Tommy Fleetwood (+1) parred.

It's a real grind for this trio now as the wind gets up and the greens continue to firm up.

LATE/EARLY HAD IT 0.5 STROKES EASIER

According to No Laying Up. I'm surprised as it feels a little more extreme than that.

CASHMERE KEITH IN AT LEVEL-PAR

70-70 does not tell the story for the man who went 41-29 yesterday. An excellent comeback.

CAMERON SMITH DROPS BACK

The Australian has been hovering around five-over all day but he drops back to +6 and that will see him heading home early as he only has one hole remaining.

It will be a seventh missed cut in his last eight Majors.

IS SCOTTIE CLOSE ENOUGH?

The world no. 1 is two-under today and even par for the week after a birdie on 5. Surely he's not got a chance of catching the leader by Sunday, has he...?

MILES RUSSELL MAKES IT

17-year-old Miles Russell makes the cut for the weekend after shooting 71 today. He's sitting at +3 for the week.

RORY IS DONE FOR THE DAY

It's a disappointing finish to the day for Rory McIlroy, with a double bogey on 15 seeing him tumble down the leaderboard. He's still at even par for the week, but a poor back nine has surely cost him the chance to push Wyndham Clark for the title...

IS IT OVER FOR RORY?
