United States employers slashed 126,000 jobs across recent months, indicating a stalling labour market.

The latest federal employment figures reveal that companies cut 23,000 positions in July alone, adding to workforce reductions observed earlier in the summer. These summer losses add to prior employment data, with revised economic records showing an additional 103,000 jobs were eliminated throughout May and June.
