The strike resulted in the tragic deaths of seven aid workers who were on a mission to deliver humanitarian assistance.
Spokesperson Matthew Miller from the State Department highlighted that the Israel Defense Forces claimed the strike was a result of 'misidentification,' indicating that they did not intend to target the World Central Kitchen vehicles. However, Miller emphasized that the reason behind the mistake is irrelevant in the face of the devastating outcome.
