
Almost 13,000 auto workers in the United States have stopped working after the United Auto Workers (UAW) union launched a strike targeting all three of the country’s major car manufacturers for the first time in history.
UAW members began picketing at three plants operated by General Motors, Ford and Stellantis early on Friday after talks between the union and management failed to narrow differences on contract terms and pay.
