The US Army has issued a stern rebuke of the campaign staff of former President Donald Trump following an incident that occurred at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday. In a statement released on Thursday, the Army expressed disappointment over the actions of participants in a ceremony who violated federal laws regarding political activity at the cemetery.

The statement highlighted that attendees of the August 26th ceremony were briefed on federal laws, Army regulations, and Department of Defense policies that strictly prohibit political activities on cemetery grounds. The Army spokesperson revealed that an Arlington National Cemetery employee was forcibly pushed aside when she attempted to enforce these rules.

Emphasizing the sanctity of Arlington National Cemetery as a national shrine for the fallen heroes of the Armed Forces, the Army spokesperson condemned the incident as unfortunate. The spokesperson also defended the professionalism of the ANC employee who was unfairly attacked, stating that the dedicated staff at the cemetery will continue to uphold the dignity and respect owed to the nation's fallen.

Although the incident was reported to the police department at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, the employee chose not to press charges. As a result, the Army has deemed the matter closed. The statement concluded by reaffirming the commitment of Arlington National Cemetery to ensuring that public ceremonies are conducted in a manner befitting the honor of the fallen servicemen and women.
