The US Army Corps of Engineers Commanding General, Scott A. Spellmon, has initiated communication with the Port of Baltimore following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, as confirmed by Deputy Defense Secretary Sabrina Singh on Tuesday.
During a recent statement, Singh emphasized that while it is still early in the assessment process, the US Army Corps of Engineers is actively engaged with the Port of Baltimore. Additionally, the Department of Defense is maintaining close coordination with local and state authorities to ensure a comprehensive response to the situation.
