US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have signed a bilateral security agreement during the Group of Seven summit in Italy. The agreement, which outlines the long-term security relationship between the US and Kyiv, is subject to potential reversal by future US administrations, as per senior US officials.
The signing of the deal comes after extensive negotiations between the two countries and is expected to solidify the US commitment to supporting Ukraine's armed forces for the next decade. The agreement includes provisions for ongoing training of Ukrainian military personnel, increased collaboration in the production of weapons and military equipment, continued military aid, and enhanced intelligence sharing.
