Scots OAP who vanished while out walking on hottest day of the year traced safe and well

A Scot OAP who vanished while walking on the hottest day of the year so far has been found safe and well.

We previously reported how Terence Blayney was last seen at around 12.30pm on Saturday, June 4, near Urquhart Castle in Drumnadrochit in the Highlands.

Police Scotland launched an urgent search to find the 84-year-old.

They appealed to the public for help in tracing the man, saying they were becoming 'increasingly concerned' for his welfare.

Officers have now confirmed that Terence has been found safe and well.

The Met Office recorded the hottest temperature of the year in Drumnadrochit on Saturday with the mercury soaring to 23.2 degrees celsius.
