A number of popular Penneys children’s plates have been recalled due to safety concerns.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued a recall notice on Thursday.
The affected plates may give rise to the possible migration into food of chemicals lead and formaldehyde.
However, health effects are not expected from using these plates.
Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in Penney’s stores supplied with the implicated plates.
