Iceland's Creamy Garlic Chicken Breasts in Blankets were the latest product to get an urgent recall by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland over salmonella concerns.
The supermarket chain, which has eight shops in Dublin, has become the latest chain to pull a chicken product from sale, with a food safety alert issued today. The FSAI has confirmed a batch of the frozen product is being recalled due to the presence of salmonella.
A spokesperson said: “Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and display recall notices at point of sale. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batch. If the chicken has already been consumed, cooking should remove the risk.
