Soft drinks maker AG Barr have today (April 29 2022) issued a safety notice for certain 750ml of its iconic orange fizz.
The warning is due to a safety precaution which has seen concern over some of their caps on their glass bottles which may pop off unexpectedly and could cause injury.
As a result they have said that people with the affected caps should handle the drink with care but stress the drink itself is still safe to consume.

In the recall they wrote: "As a precautionary measure A.G. Barr is recalling certain 750ml IRN-BRU Regular and IRN-BRU 1901 glass bottles from the market because of an issue with caps which may cause them to pop off unexpectedly.
"We believe this to be an infrequent, intermittent fault in some of our bottles. The liquid in the bottle is good and tastes as you would expect.
"The recall affects only 750ml glass bottles with codes shown below. You’ll find the code stamped onto the neck of the bottle."
They add: "As a precautionary measure we are asking consumers who have the affected batches of IRN-BRU Regular and IRN-BRU 1901 in 750ml glass, to open the bottles with care to release the pressure.
"The bottle should be handled carefully, pointed away from the body at arm’s length."
The flavours and batches affected are:
