Urgent appeal to find missing woman last seen at hotel three MONTHS ago

Police have issued an urgent appeal for help finding a missing woman who was last seen at a hotel three months ago. Elaine Charleston is known to have links to Wigan and Leigh, as well as the Preston and Blackpool areas of Lancashire.

Greater Manchester Police says the 49-year-old was last seen back on Friday, February 4, at the Mercure Hotel on Orchard Street, Wigan. In a photo issued by the force, Elaine is white and has long, dark-coloured hair.

Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned about Elaine's welfare. Anyone who sees her or has information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact GMP as soon as possible.

In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for GMP Wigan West wrote: "Can you help police find a missing woman from Wigan? Elaine Charleston, 49 was last seen at the Mercure Hotel, Wigan on February 4, 2022.

"Elaine has links to Wigan, Leigh, Preston and Blackpool areas. Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Elaine and want to make sure she is safe and well."

Anyone with information about Elaine's whereabouts should contact police by calling 101, quoting missing person's reference number MSP/06LL/0001048/22.
