Officers are searching for a 29-year-old man last seen at the weekend who may have driven off in a 'hi-vis' van. Greater Manchester Police says Steven, whose surname has not been given, was last seen in Atherton on Saturday evening (January 7).
It is believed he may have left the area and headed for Blackpool, in a striking-looking van with hi-vis marks on the doors and beacons on the roof. Officers are 'increasingly concerned' about Steven's wellbeing and have tonight (Friday) issued an appeal for help finding him.
In a post on Facebook, a spokesperson for GMP said: "Can you help police find Steven (29) from Atherton, Wigan? Steven was last seen in the Atherton area on January 7, 2023 between 6pm and 7pm.
"Steven is described as a white male, around 6ft 2ins, slim build, brown/auburn hair, gingery stubble facial hair. He has a slit in his left eyebrow.
"Steven was last seen wearing Columbia grey walking shorts with black pockets on the side, black jumper, long black Nike socks, black and white air max trainers. He was also wearing a black Nike cap and has sleeve tattoos on both arms.
"It is believed he has possibly travelled towards the Blackpool area. He is believed to be driving a white Vauxhall Vivaro.
"The back doors have hi-vis chevron lines and with beacons on the top. Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Steven and want to make sure he is safe and well."
Anyone who sees Steven or has information on his whereabouts should contact police by calling 0161 856 7390 or 101. Alternatively, contact GMP online.
