Urgent appeal launched after Lanarkshire pensioner reported missing

Police have launched an urgent search for a Lanarkshire pensioner who disappeared on Saturday night.

Officers are appealing for the public’s help as part of their efforts to trace 69-year-old Patrick Harvey who has been reported missing from Kilsyth area.

Patrick was last seen about 10pm on Saturday, July 2 and is thought to have boarded a train to Blackpool from Glasgow Central Train Station on Sunday morning.

He is described as 6ft 1in, greying hair wearing blue jeans, black jacket and grey trainers.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "It is believed Patrick was at Glasgow Central Train Station about 9.30am, Sunday, July 3, when he boarded a train to Blackpool.

"Anyone who may have seen Patrick since this time, or who has any information which may assist us with enquiries, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 1051 of July 4, 2022."
