Despite losing two in a row to the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Rams on their two-game West Coast road trip, the Cleveland Browns still find themselves in a fine position to make the playoffs. ESPN’s Football Power Index even gave the Browns a two percent boost to lock down a spot after the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday night.
This would be a true testament to the coaching and leadership in Cleveland to continue to scratch and claw despite losing key contributors for the season at quarterback, running back, both offensive tackle positions, and many more positions. Now with quarterback Trevor Lawrence, among other key contributors, sidelined for the Jaguars, the Browns may find a way to sneak out a win in Week 14.
If they do, their odds to make the playoffs will skyrocket. As it sits now, however, here is how the AFC playoff picture would look if the season were to end today.
