Kansas City Chiefs GM Brett Veach traded up to acquire Kentucky OT Darian Kinnard in the 2022 NFL draft.
The Chiefs traded picks No. 158 overall and No. 233 to the Seattle Seahawks, who sent Kansas City pick No. 145 in return. Brett Veach hinted at this being an option for the team following Day 2.
#Chiefs GM Brett Veach suggests the team could package the fifth-round pick acquired from the #Patriots and the army of seventh rounders they have to move up in Round 5 or even back into Round 4.

The Chiefs have already made seven picks in this draft, more than any other draft for Brett Veach since he took over as general manager following the 2017 NFL draft.
Here’s a look at the team’s updated draft picks for the third and final day of the draft:
- Round 7, 243 overall (Yasir Durant trade)
- Round 7, 251 overall
- Round 7, 259 overall (Compensatory, Damien Wilson)
The Chiefs still have three selections left in the seventh round. We have one idea about how he might use one of those picks too.
