Over a week after spraining his ankle in a game against the New Orleans Pelicans, LeBron James is still ailing.
When the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Phoenix Suns tonight in Arizona, he will not be suiting up.
Via ESPN:
“James was ruled out of Tuesday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns with left ankle soreness, the team announced,” wrote Dave McMenamin. “It will be James’ fourth missed game out of the Lakers’ past five.”
The four-time MVP has had an amazing season despite being 37 years of age. He is leading the NBA in scoring at 30.3 points per game and has had a number of 40-point and even 50-point performances.
However, it has been something of an injury-riddled year for him.
He missed two games near the beginning of the schedule with another sprained ankle, then he was forced to be out for eight contests due to an ab injury.
More recently, he has struggled with a troublesome knee that caused him to miss games on occasion.
