There are three major upcoming Marvel games heading our way in 2026 and plenty more set to arrive further afield. That means that superhero games are alive and well, and pack a serious punch when it comes to the new games calendar.
This year is a big one for the MCU, period. Not only is Marvel Phase 6 fully underway, but there's a new Avengers movie set to arrive in a few months as well. On the gaming side of things, we now finally have a release date for Insomniac's Marvel's Wolverine game, a new exciting beat-em-up on the way, and a Black Panther team-up with Captain America set to arrive at some point in 2026. An immersive Blade third-person action epic is also on the cards, and we were at one stage also set to see a second upcoming Marvel game starring Black Panther, but sadly, following a round of layoffs, it was confirmed that the project from Cliffhanger Games had been cancelled by EA back in May 2025.
But, even with a smaller calendar and some bumps in the road, there's still plenty to keep track of, and we are here to make sure you can easily stay up to speed! For a recap of all of the confirmed upcoming Marvel games currently on the way, read on below to find all of the new Marvel games we know about, in order of their expected release date window.
All the upcoming Marvel games announced
2026
Marvel: TOKON Fighting Souls

Developer: ARC SYSTEM WORKS CO., LTD
Platform(s): PS5, PC
Release Date: August 6, 2026
If Marvel Rivals made you hungry for more superhero action, well, you are in luck. Marvel: TOKON Fighting Souls is an upcoming 4v4 tag-team fighter where you'll play as and face off against iconic MCU heroes and villains. So far, 20 characters have been confirmed to be available at launch to play with, and each will have its own set of moves that will let you play around and experiment with team composition.
Unlike Marvel Rivals, this game isn't strictly an online endeavour, though. You can play with friends locally or join online lobbies; there is a single-player Episode Mode as well. So it's a pretty versatile game for Marvel fans. It also looks great with anime-inspired visuals, so we are very keen to get our hands on this one.
Marvel's Wolverine

Developer: Insomniac Games
Platform(s): PS5
Release Date: September 15, 2026
Marvel's Wolverine is one of the biggest PS5 exclusives set to come out in 2026. And thanks to a random social media post by Insomniac in Februray we now have a firm release date for the title as well. It's been over a decade since the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and we've been desperately anticipating Logan's return to the world of video games ever since.
The game is set to arrive in September, and thanks to us seeing some of Marvel's Wolverine gameplay during the PlayStation State of Play September 2025 showcase, we already know that it looks fantastic. Insomniac teased during the show that we can expect a "darker and more brutal" experience from the studio as we take on the role of Logan. Everything already points to this being the superhero action game to watch out for.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra

Developer: Skydance Media
Platform(s): PC, PS5, Xbox Series X
Release Date: TBC 2026
Despite being announced without a title back in 2022, we finally know that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is the name of Skydance Media's upcoming action game that sees Captain America gingerly teaming up with Black Panther.
The title was unveiled in a story trailer screened during March 2024's State of Unreal showcase, giving us our first proper look at the WW2-era hero epic that's now slated to launch sometime in 2026. The stunning cinematic trailer introduces us to a war-torn occupied Paris, and with Cap and T'Challa kicking things off in a decidedly unfriendly fashion, it looks like Uncharted's Amy Hennig is working her magic once again to deliver a rich historical action experience – this time, with superheroes. Excited doesn't begin to cover it.

Marvel's Iron Man

Developer: Motive Studio
Platform(s): TBC
Release Date: TBC
EA has announced that it is collaborating with Marvel Games to create an "all-new single-player, third-person, action-adventure Iron Man video game." Motive Studio is leading development – that's the team behind Star Wars Squadron and the Dead Space Remake – with Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy executive producer Olivier Proulx.
This new EA Iron Man game entered full production in February 2023, and Motive promises that "the game will feature an original narrative that taps into the rich history of Iron Man, channeling the complexity, charisma, and creative genius of Tony Stark, and enabling players to feel what it’s like to truly play as Iron Man."
Marvel's Blade

Developer: Arkane Lyon
Platform(s): TBC
Release date: TBC
Arkane Lyon, of Deathloop and Dishonored fame, is turning its hand to creating Marvel's Blade. It's going to be a "mature", single-player, third-person adventure with an original story set in a quarantined area of Paris in the middle of a supernatural emergency of a vampiric nature.
The team at Arkane is seeing this as an opportunity to take its game-making into a more modern direction. When Arkane Lyon's games are already at the forefront of innovation, that makes this project even more exciting. It'll likely be some time before we learn more about it, though.
