Upcoming DC TV Shows: Full List Of Series In 2026 And Beyond, Including Lanterns

Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) looks over at something or someone on Lanterns.

With Supergirl, Clayface and more set as upcoming DC movies that fans can look forward to, the grass seems to be much greener on the TV side of things. And not just because Green Lantern has both a live-action and animated series coming to the 2026 TV schedule. There's just generally a ton of DCU projects in varying stages of development and production, and here's where you can get the latest news on all of them.

While James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC takeover maybe hasn't resulted in the bonkers number of projects that have been rumored and discussed in recent years, plenty of superpowered adventures are heading to the small screen, so read on! (And try not to wear your favorite yellow shirt when we're talking about Lanterns.)

Lanterns Season 1 - HBO Max

PREMIERE DATE: August 16, 2026

CAST: Kyle Chandler (Hal Jordan), Aaron Pierre (John Stewart), Kelly Macdonald (Kerry), Nathan FIllion (Guy Gardner), Garrett Dillahunt (William Macon), Jason Ritter (Billy Macon), Ulrich Thomsen (Thaal Sinestro), Laura Linney (TBA)

CREATORS: Chris Mundy (Ozark), Damon Lindelof (Lost, Watchmen), Tom King (Wonder Woman comic, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic)

Ever wondered what a Green Lantern story might look like if it was projected through the prism of HBO Max and True Detective? That's precisely what Lanterns is, centering largely on two distinct points in time — 2016 and 2026 — as John Stewart is being trained (for lack of a better word) by the arrogant-but-deliberate Hal Jordan to potentially take over as guardian of Earth. A lot about this show has been kept under wraps, but know that Sinestro is coming, and we do not fear it.

Creature Commandos Season 2 - HBO Max

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

CAST: Indira Varma (The Bride), Sean Gunn (G.I. Robot/Weasel), Alan Tudyk (Doctor Phosphorus, Will Magnus, Clayface), Zoë Chen (Nina Mazursky), David Harbour (Eric Frankenstein), Frank Grillo (Rick Flag Sr.), Sydney Chandler (Nosferatu)

CREATOR: James Gunn

The highly lauded first season of the animated series wrapped in early 2025 with the formation of Task Force M, and with a second season already ordered up. So far, all we really know about Season 2 is the premiere's title, "Starry Night," and that it will take place after the events of Peacemaker Season 2. The series is still in production, so it's not yet clear if it'll be gearing up for a 2026 premiere, or if we'll all be waiting until 2027 to see this team back in action.

Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2 - Prime Video

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

CAST: Hamish Linklater (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jason Watkins (Alfred Pennyworth), Eric Morgan Stuart (Jim Gordon), Krystal Joy Brown (Barbara Gordon), Michelle C. Bonilla (Reese Montoya)

CREATORS: Bruce Timm

Season 1's cliffhanger ending dropped back in 2024, with Season 2 getting ordered up in 2023, but it looks like 2026 will finally be the time when fans can return to 1940s Gotham City. As it was made quite clear by the finale minutes, Batman: Caped Crusader is set to introduce its Joker, and rumor has it this will be a take on the Clown Prince of Crime that hasn't been tackled before. Somehow.

My Adventures With Superman Season 3 - Adult Swim

PREMIERE DATE: June 14, 2026

CAST: Jack Quaid (Superman/Clark Kent), Alice Lee (Lois Lane), Ishmel Sahid (Jimmy Olsen), Kiana Madeira (Supergirl/Kara)

CREATORS:Jake Wyatt, Brendan Clougher, Josie Campbell

With Season 2's finale bringing Supergirl into the story proper to help our core trio keep Metropolis safe, Season 3 is twisting things up with an inspired take on the '90s "Reign of the Supermen" comics that followed the Man of Steel's death via Doomsday. I can't wait to see how each of the personalities and their power bases are introduced and handled.

Teen Titans Go! Season 10 - Cartoon Network (TBA)

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

CAST: Scott Menville (Robin), Tara Strong (Raven), Hynden Walch (Starfire), Khary Payton (Cyborg)

CREATORS: Sam Register

The zaniest corner of any iteration of the DC Universe, Teen Titans Go! was confirmed for Season 10 back in June 2025, though it's unclear where things are at, progress-wise. We do know that Beast Boy voice actor Greg Cipes was reportedly terminated by Warner Bros. months after he went public with a Parkinson's diagnosis, though allegedly due to non-health-related views and social media posts. A replacement voice actor has yet to be revealed by the studio.

Mister Miracle - HBO Max

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

CAST: TBA

CREATORS: Tom King

Based on the 2017-2018 miniseries written by Tom King and illustrated by Mitch Gerards, the upcoming series Mister Miracle is an animated take on the escape artist's epic story alongside his wife Big Barda and the New Gods, which we can only assume will also be as dark and horrific at times. The series will officially be part of the DCU, with more details likely to be unveiled when the series is showcased at Annecy 2026 from June 21-June 27.

Starfire - TBA

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

CAST: TBA

CREATOR: Josie Campbell

This animated series is set to tackle the origin story of Teen Titan Starfire, who makes a break from her home planet of Tamaran to explore the universe alongside Crush, Fern and Princess Amethyst. Created by comic scribe Josie Campbell, Starfire is said to be targeted for younger DC fans out there.

Get Jiro! - Adult Swim

PREMIERE DATE: TBA

CAST: Brian Tee (Jiro)

CREATORS: Brian Gatewood, Alessandro Tanaka (Based on the graphic novel by Anthony Bourdain and Joel Rose, with art from Langdon Foss.)

Co-written by one of the most respected and well-known culinary artists, Anthony Bourdain, Get Jiro takes place in a world where chefs have all the power, and restaurants are supreme destinations, where the titular hero has to rise up to take down nefarious foes, including vegans. Real life chefs such as Eric Ripert and David Chang will be appearing.

DCU Projects Currently In Development Or Awaiting Decisions

Here's a round-up of the upcoming DC shows that are presumably still in the works, and haven't yet debuted for fans around the world, as well as a select few that don't seem like they're actually happening anymore.

  • HARLEY QUINN - The animated HBO Max comedy has been beloved by fans, to the point where even its Kite Man spinoff was great. Unfortunately, Kaley Cuoco's anti-hero hasn't heard any word about Season 6 since the fifth one concluded in March 2025. EP Dean Lorey told TVLine around the time of the finale that the plan was to tell more stories in future seasons, but it's unclear why HBO Max hasn't yet made a call.
  • BATWHEELS - The back half of Batwheels Season 3 dropped on May 22, 2026, without any notice from Cartoon Network about Season 4 plans. The third season wasn't renewed until nine months after the second one concluded, so there's definitely still time for execs to order more up.
  • BAT-FAM: The ten-episode comedy Bat-Fam continued the story set up by the Merry Little Batman special, but Prime Video has yet to make any calls on whether or not fans will see and hear Luke Wilson's Batman again.
  • BOOSTER GOLD: A standalone series centering on the time-jaunting superhero was first revealed in July 2025, when David Jenkins was announced as showrunner. That was pretty much the last thing we'd heard about it, however, save for James Gunn confirming in April that it's still in development.
  • WALLER - Viola Davis has been attached to a TV show about Amanda Waller for seemingly as long as she's had the part, and the ARGUS head was set to be showcased among other early DCU series. Unfortunately, attempts to break the story have fallen short, though James Gunn shared earlier this year that efforts are still being made.
  • PARADISE LOST - One of the early DCU projects that got fans hyped was a Wonder Woman prequel tale that explores the origins and political complications of the Amazons' culture on Themyscira. News about the project has been few and far between, but Gunn confirmed this is still being worked on behidn the scenes.
  • UNTITLED JIMMY OLSEN SERIES - Skyler Gisondo is set to reprise his journalistic role of Jimmy Olsen for a Superman spinoff series, with American Vandal showrunners Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda set to bring a comedic spin. I'm just hoping Matt Fraction and Steve Lieber's Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen serves as the key source text.
  • ANIMATED BLUE BEETLE SERIES - Live-action Blue Beetle star Xolo Maridueña was revealed a couple of years ago to be reprising the role of Jaime Reyes for an animated take on the hero Blue Beetle. At this time, it's still unknown whether or not the new show will present the events of the 2023 movie as canon, or if it will be shifting those details to match up with the DCU as a whole.

At this point, those are pretty much all of the DC and DCU projects that have publicly been revealed and discussed, although more will no doubt be announced in the weeks and months to come. Keep checking back with CinemaBlend for more updates as they're available.
