GORAKHPUR: A youth carrying a sharp-edged weapon forcibly tried to enter the premises of Gorakhnath Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur district on Sunday evening and injured at least two jawans of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) deployed there.
The accused, identified as Murtuza Ahmad, was overpowered and also suffered injuries during the counter action, police said.
He was shouting religious slogans when he attacked the cops.
