'Up your b****x' - Dublin football club's hilarious response after punter loses £50 accumulator

A Dublin football club had a hilarious response after a punter messaged them to complain about losing a £50 accumulator.

Kilbarrack United went over 40 games unbeaten in the Leinster Senior League, and currently sit second in the Senior 1 Sunday division, the second highest tier of intermediate football in the province. But their miracle run finally came to an end last night, when they went down 1-0 to midtable side Edenderry Town away in Offaly.

Supporters of the club were quick to praise the achievement and the run they had gone on, but one person was not quite as nice. The better, who appears to be from the UK, stuck £50 on a four-fold accumulator on Friday night games across Europe.

AC Milan, Nice, and Hearts all came through for the better, but Kilbarrack's loss cost them the chance to win £330 - as well as their original £50 bet. And while we've all been there when one result may let us down, this punter took it one step further by finding the club's Twitter account and messaging them directly.

The angry punter wrote: "I have never heard of you before. Did a little search on you today, it seen you lots unbeaten [sic].

"It was a no brainer at the time to include you, and guess what, you've ruined it. I spent others researching this beat [sic].

"I really hope you lot have the worst season ever. I hope you become financially ruined."

The club, reeling from the result, couldn't hep but laugh at the whole situation. Alongside several laughing emojis, the club simply replied: "Up your b****x".

They screenshotted the message and added it to their Twitter, saying "Losing is never easy, but this type of message makes it a little easier to take." And football fans across the country were howling at the reply.

One said: "Hahahaha that’s brilliant, big man hiding behind some account." Another joked: "They’ve obviously never played Edenderry away."

A third poked fun at the punter's grammar, laughing: "The amount of 'others' (hours) I’m going to spend laughing at this." And a fourth added: "50 quid, what a loser."
