Multiple people have been injured in a shooting outside a French Montana music video in Miami, according to reports.
The rapper was filming a music video outside a soul food restaurant called The Licking when the incident occurred.
The Miami Herald, citing a law enforcement source, said that up to ten people were injured in the shooting, one of whom is in a critical condition. This was not confirmed by police.
According to the local CBS Miami, a confrontation that started somewhere else before the shooting outside the restaurant.
A witness, Ced Mogul, told the outlet: “There were multiple shots fired, it sounded like an assault rifle.
“When we heard the gunshots...people started running, some people had blood on their shirts, some people were crying on the ground. It’s just tragic.”
Reports suggest that rapper Rob49 was also involved in filming the music video on Thursday.
Mr Mogul shared a video with media outlets that showed French Montana and Rob49 sitting in the backseat of a car during the shoot.
“We believe it’s an isolated incident,” police chief Delma Noel-Pratt said in a statement.
A spokesperson for the force added they could not confirm the number of those hurt, saying: “Right now it is just multiple victims that were injured.”
The rapper released his debut mixtape in 2007 and came to public attention with his single ‘Choppa Choppa Down’ in 2010.
He released his debut studio album Excuse My French in 2013.
