Up to 20,000 people flee Sudan for Chad, UN says

In tonight's edition: Khartoum residents are desperate for respite after six days of warfare between rival armed forces. Sudan's military has ruled out negotiations with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group as the humanitarian crisis deepens. Also, two years after the town of Palma in northern Mozambique was captured by extremists, the situation has improved but remains fragile. Finally, Eid celebrations in Mali are overshadowed by rising prices.
