AGRA: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav will file his nomination papers from Karhal constituency in Mainpuri on Monday. He is contesting his first assembly elections from Mainpuri, the stronghold of Samajwadi Party. Interestingly, BJP has not declared its candidate against Akhilesh from Karhal constituency till date.
Rumours were rife that the BJP may field someone from Yadav’s family - Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav, who recently joined the BJP in Delhi ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh election. The last date of filing nomination for the third phase is Tuesday.
