Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the report card of the work done by his government during the first 100 days of his second term in office.
The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference in Lok Bhavan here on Monday. The Yogi government is completing 100 days on 5 July.
He said, "Two bypolls seats including Azamgarh and Rampur, which had been won by SP in 2019 were taken by BJP this year. It was the first time in UP that a formed government stayed all five years and came into power again with majority."
CM Yogi said,"We did what we had promised."
The Chief Minister stated, "Sarkar Janta ke dwar was a success as 18 Ministers held camps for 72 hours in each commissionerate, held Janta Chaupals, assessed development works, and went to blocks and villages."
The Chief Minister said that his government had changed the UP image of 'hooliganism and crime' with foreign investment subsequently rising.
"We're the first to remove unnecessary microphones so people may get rid of noise pollution in their lives. Over 1.2 lakh mics were removed peacefully," he said.
"Through PM Gareeb Kalyan Yojna, we have given ration to over 15 crore people. Over 1.66 crore people will get an LPG cylinder for free on Holi and Diwali, a decision we took in first 100 days of our second term," added CM Yogi.
The Chief Minister recounted that in 2017 we had two airports while two were under construction. Now we have nine functional airports while work on 10 more is ongoing.
Other highlights of CM Yogi's address
Free double ration facility provided to 15 crore people in the state. Ration distribution has been continuing from April 2020 till now.
The UP government has disbursed loans worth ₹16,000 crore to 1.90 lakh entrepreneurs.
The construction work of 296 km long Bundelkhand Expressway is complete. Uttar Pradesh is the first state in the country to have 5 new expressways so far.
